I could probably write a book on supply based stuff, but depending on your unit some of it may not apply. Basically, if it deals with getting or giving away anything Class I-IX, you will have something to do with it. I believe 92Ys still get armorer certified, so in very rare circumstances you may become the unit armorer for short periods of time. You will work closely with the Company XO, 1SG, or other staff personnel (such as S4s) to sustain the unit. You will help with chow runs out to field training. You will conduct lateral transfers and turn-in broken equipment. You will account for non-expendable equipment so nothing gets lost (via hand receipts and such). You will track equipment shortages and continually make an effort to fill them. You will be responsible for ordering Class II and IV through PBUSE (soon to be GCSS-Army). What's that mean for you? Most likely you will run your unit's supply cage. Hopefully they put you with someone experienced that can show you the ropes, but sometimes there just aren't enough 92Y's to go around. As a 92Y, you most likely will be your unit's senior or junior supply person, depending on how many other 92Y's are in the unit. Do not answer n00b questions on the main boards.
